I'm feeling productive as I've been getting some words out there. Yesterday I wrote a gift fic for thebattycakes, it's a William Evans and Bill Pardy fic and might end up being a part one. Today I also posted a poem on my librarian blog called Recipe for a Librarian.

The past few days have been busy and rather wonderful. My brother and his wife had a Love Celebration and I've met and reconnected with friends and family from all the world, eaten beautiful food, drank great wine and felt quite lucky. Last night ended up slightly better than the day, in my History of the Book class, we looked at amazing books and manuscripts. The new director of the Special Collections' library showed us around and we ended by talking about transitions to new formats, which I always find interesting. I just came back from sitting at a Starbucks and finishing Guardian of the Dead by Karen Healey. I want to go back to New Zealand, I miss the amazing vibrant world and the waterfront of Wellington, which lead to the best public library in the world and Te Papa. Life has been quite amazing this week. My parents left on Monday, I had an interview on Tuesday and one on Wednesday and now the one on Wednesday has lead to me having a summer internship.
